Aria Montgomery is the artsy girl who plans to major in English. Her family moved to Iceland after an incident her father had with a student. It seems like the history is going to repeat as Aria accidentally finds out that the guy she started seeing is her high school English teacher, Mr. Ezra Fitz. |
Emily Fields is the star athlete. She's a top swimmer at Rosewood High School. Her parents worked in the military and Fields family is the perfect American family. However, Emily develops feelings for her neighbor, Maya St. Germain. Can she come out to her parents? |
Spencer Hastings is the definitely the definition of the word "overachiever". Her parents work in law and she has her perfect older sister, Melissa Hastings, to compete with. She loves French and researching. However, she has a craving for her sister's boyfriends. |
Alison Dilaurentis. Where do I even begin? She's the leader of the friend group. The girls wouldn't have been friends or met each without her. She keeps all their secrets because that's what keeps her friends close. One night she goes missing, but her body was found a year later. Could those texts actually be from Alison? |
Who do you think is Uber A? Let me know in the comments! I'll post my favorite Uber A theories in a future post!
This show is great for anyone who enjoys mystery. It is not like the typical mystery with murder, although murder is involved. There may be some scenes that are not suitable for those under 14. There are references to sex, drugs, and violence throughout the show. Themes of family, friendship, and trust are commonly shown. The best episodes have to be the finales for sure. They are the definition of cliff hangers. I would not recommend this show to anyone who is impatient. We don't discover who A is under season 6. Currently, we are finding out the identity of Uber A, who is bigger and "badder" than Original A and Big A.
One thing I got from this show was fashion inspiration. The clothes that the girls wear is not realistic to the high school students I know. Most high school kids wear sweat pants all day. These girls are dressed to impress. My favorite outfits are Aria's outfits because they're spunky and unique. However, I find that Emily's and Spencer's styles are closer to mine.
I rate this show a 4.8/5 because some of the episodes are not made for moving the plot forward. I have to deduct points off because of the amount of time fans have to wait for season 7B (which is 7 months).
The show started in 2010 and 2017 is the end of the show. Currently, there are 7 seasons and the last part of the 7th season begins on April 28, 2017. Each episode is 40 minutes long. This show is available on Freeform and Netflix.

A giant orange sofa at Central Perk cafe invites six friends-- Monica and Ross Geller, Rachel Green, Chandler Bing, Phoebe Buffay, and Joey Tribbiani--to chat about their comedic lives. During the 10 years of the show, the friends experience hardships, celebrates, surprising pregnancies, and love.
This is not your typical sit-com show. This show is absolutely amazing! Everyone should see at least one season of this show. The characters are so vibrant and they make you feel like you are part of their friend group.

Rachel Green is a shopaholic who left a man at the altar. After being adjusted to the high life, she learns how to work for herself by starting as a waitress at Central Perk. She's funny, cute, and a lovable person. |
Rachel runs into Monica Geller, her high school friend, whose dream is to become a professional chef because of her love of food. Monica Geller is the definition of a "glo-up". She used to be extremely overweight, but she eventually became fit. (Why? You'll have to watch the show to find out.) She a Type A person. She cares about her china plates, loves to clean, insists on using a coaster to prevent the condensation on the coffee table, and etc.
Her brother, Ross Geller, is an paleontologist who has a crush on Rachel ever since the ninth grade. We realize a huge mistake early on in the show that he married a lesbian named Carol. He is crazy about dinosaurs and will fight those who will throw away his moist turkey sandwich. |
Chandler Bing, the sarcastic friend (who we still do not know what he does for a living exactly), is Ross's college friend. He is in a complicated relationship with Janice, a woman who has a horse-like laugh and a nasally voice.
Joey Tribbiani is the lovable, naive womanizer who loves acting. He is the only son in his family of of many Italian children. Joey may seem familiar because he plays Dr. Drake Ramoray on Days of Our Lives. Don't forget to watch him try "smell-the-fart" acting! |
Phoebe Buffay is a quirky vegan and works as a masseuse. She rants about depressing topics in a enthusiastic, yet not sarcastic, tone about her suicidal mom and her evil twin named Ursula. You can always find her singing her infamous "Smelly Cat" off-key at Central Perk. |

I would recommend this show to everyone! This is a classic and watching this series over and over again won't fail to make you laugh and/or cry. Some of the best episodes (in my opinion) are the Thanksgiving ones and the finales. The finales are extremely well done and leave the audience with a steep cliffhanger.
The show started in 1994 and ended in 2004, producing 10 seasons of goodness. Each episode is about 20 minutes long. It is possible to watch 10 years worth of television in one week. Trust me, I tried it. Now, don't judge me. (I finished the entire show during Spring Break. It took a lot of work: 8 hours of dedicated work.)
This show is available on Netflix and re-runs may be on any late night show.

The Doctor, the Timelord, is the last one of his kind from the planet Gallifrey. He and his companion must travel through time and space in the TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimensions in Space) to save the galaxy from the villains of the universe.
Doctor Who? That is a question that won't be answered because we do not know the Doctor's real name. He gave himself that name as a promise for him. What promise? We know that he promised himself after the Last Time War between the Timelords and Daleks-- aliens that are the exact definition of hate with a plunger that suctions to kill.
So what exactly are Timelords? Well, they're aliens. They look like humans. Timelords all come from Gallifrey and have two hearts. Yup. They also regenerate; they die and endure a painful regeneration into another face, but the still the same person. (Fun fact: this idea was added when William Hartnell, the 1st Doctor, was aging and the producers of the show wanted to continue the program.) So instead of mourning the end of the Doctor's life, we can all hope for his new face! (I know that sounds weird.) Each time he regenerates, he takes a younger form.

Which Doctor is your favorite? If you were one of his companions, who would you be? Let me know in the comments!
I really enjoy this show because of the magnificent visuals that the show provides. Who wouldn't want to be the Doctor's companion and travel around space and time? The villains are extraordinary. Daleks look like bulby-ish machines with a toilet plunger. There are so many other villains, such as Cyberman, Weeping Angel, Ood, creepy French dolls, the Master and more!
I would recommend this show to everyone! There may be some villains that seem disturbing for some people, but overall I would say that this show is more family friendly. This show is timeless. I have re-watched the episodes and the show still retains its spark. The best episodes have to be the Christmas specials. There is something about British people and their Christmases...
The show started on November 22, 1963 but had a 16 year hiatus. The new series started in 2005 with the 9th Doctor. There are themes of companionship, loyalty, and integrity. There may be some episodes of Classic Who but they may be harder to find. However, starting with the new series won't confuse you. Series 1 with the 9th Doctor is enjoyable but not as great as the other series.
